Getting South Korean Visa

Me and my family are planning to visit my little brother in South Korea at the end of the month.

Today, I went to their consulate at Yokohama applying for visa.

Actually, this is my second attempt as at first I went to their embassy, but it turns out they do not issue visa there.

So, as you can guess already, you need to go to their consulate for visa.

But be careful!

Costco’s mineral water bottle is shrinking

One of our favorite products in Costco is Canadian made mineral water: Aberfoyle. Recently, we purchased two packs (1 pack = 30 bottles) of 500ml water. We noticed that there’s a slight change in the cap.

As you can see in the picture, the height of the “new” design is half of that of the old one. Moreover, this is difficult to notice in the picture though, there is a small change in the cap itself too.

There is one more thing worth to mention. As you might have known, in order to make the cap easier to open, there are horizontal gutters around the side of the cap. This makes the cap looks like a gear with shallow gutters when we see it from the above. In the new design, the gutters have been deepen. As the result, you are getting sharper edges around the cap.

From the prespective of the seller, you get a cheaper bottle package, since the amount of plastic used for the cap is reduced. However, from consumer’s point of view, you get an annoying bottle.

It hurts your finger everytime you open the cap. That is because the sharper edges of the “gear” and also because you have to put more pressure when opening the cap since the surface you are holding has been cut half.

I do not think that is a good idea from Aberfoyle.

Deo Walks and Walks and Walks …

He just couldn’t stop walking around and playing with things. You just have to keep an eye on him, otherwise he’ll just eat anything he found to be interesting.

Just like today, he ate a small rock when we’re playing at the parking lots. Although I kept my eyes on him, he just went so fast reaching the rock and put it into his mouth. I put my little finger into his mouth in order to draw the rock out, but he bit my finger so hard. So, I had to squeeze his mouth so it’s kept open and I can easily get the rock without having to lose my finger.

Anyways, in the morning we went to Zoorasia at Yokohama. Deo was having a killer time there. Lots of space for running around. He just made himself (and his parents along with his grandma) tired there.

You can check out the pictures here:

Travel Back To Indonesia 2009

We traveled back to Indonesia from April 24, 2009 to May 7, 2009. It’s been two years since our returning back to Indonesia. This time, our family members have become three person, with little Deo as additional members.

We ordered three tickets and put Deo into travel insurance at AIU, which turned out very useful. As we packed our things I realized that most of the luggages are filled with Deo’s stuff. I guess this is inevitable when you’re traveling with little children.

Anyways, here are some pictures from our daily activities at Indonesia. Enjoy!

Deo is eleven months now

It’s been quite a while since we give you some updates. Our son, Deo, is now evelen months old. There’s been a quite ride since our last post. Deo is now joining a day care, after Evi’s mother gone back to Indonesia.

Evi’s mother has been attending Deo since September 2008. She’s been very helpful and we miss her.

Anyways, here’s a video taken when Deo is seven or eight months old. You can see how strong he is.

Amadeo Is Home Now!

evidandeoFinally!

Today is the time to bring home our baby, Deo (that’s how we call him for short).

Evi looks great, although she has to check her blood condition next week.

This is her picture with Deo (ups, can’t see his face from here).

And about the name, we decided to use Beneficens as his middle name.

I hope Deo doesn’t get mad when he found out how long his name is. Well, I could always say "mine is longer …"

Anyways … from today, I have to deal with Deo’s screaming every night, changing his diapers and so on.

Goodbye, good night sleep.

Welcome, wild night life!

Amadeo: God’s Beloved
Beneficens: Kind, Gentle, GENEROUS
Simanjuntak: No meaning (it’s my tribe’s name)
He will be generation No. 15 of a royal family in my tribe. Ain’t that cool?

Enaknya Jadi Pacarku – Song Written by Fidens

Here’s a song I wrote years back when I was dating Evi.

[display_podcast]

Enaknya Jadi Pacarku

Kau bilang kau ragu pada semua
Rasa cintaku

Kau takut ‘ku tak dapat menjaga
Rasa cintaku

Kau gila!

*)
Jangan pernah kau hakimi
Semua perasaanku
Karna kau belum pernah merasakan
Enaknya jadi pacarku

Ah ha … Ah ha

Kau bimbang dengan masa depan
Lima tahun mendatang
Sedangkan kita belum memulai
Tali cinta kita

Kau gila!

**)
Jangan pernah kau meramal
Apa yang akan terjadi
Biar waktu yang membuktikan
Ikatan cinta kita

Semua yang terjadi di antara kita berdua
Hanyalah Tuhan yang kuasa yang menentukan
Karnanya …

kembali ke **)

Dan juga …

kembali ke *)

Enaknya jadi pacarku (2x

Ah ha … Ah ha
